Unlike traditional dentures, implant-supported dentures typically do not require overnight soaking. This makes your nightly routine much simpler and more convenient.
To ensure your restoration remains in excellent condition and your oral health stays on track, we recommend the following daily care routine:
- Daily Cleaning: Brush your dentures twice daily using a soft-bristle brush and a non-abrasive cleanser to prevent damage to the materials.
- Abutment Care: It is essential to clean around the implant abutments every day using an interdental or specialized brush. This helps maintain the health of the gum tissue and the stability of the implants.
- Professional Maintenance: While you do not need to soak them overnight, you should still visit us every 6 to 12 months for a professional cleaning and fit evaluation. During these checkups, we can assess the health of your tissues and determine if any relines are necessary.
We provide gentle, judgement-free dental care at our newly renovated clinic in New Westminster, serving patients from across Port Coquitlam and the Lower Mainland. During a personalized consultation, we can discuss the specific care requirements for your unique treatment plan.
