Comfort is key

A tooth extraction, also known as “pulling” a tooth, is a common dental procedure. Our dentists may recommend extractions for many reasons, including severe damage, decay, or overcrowding.

When a tooth is beyond repair due to extensive decay or fractures, extraction becomes necessary. Our team is dedicated to ensuring your tooth are extracted only when it is absolutely necessary. If you need your tooth extracted, we promise to make the experience as comfortable as possible.

Come see our dentists today if you are experiencing tooth pain.

Trust the process

When an extraction is necessary, the process involves carefully removing the affected tooth from its socket. Dental X-rays help assess bone levels and determine the extent of damage.

Sedation options are available to ensure patient comfort during the procedure.

Remember, preserving natural teeth is always our priority, so if we recommend an extraction, it is with your overall oral health in mind.

Types of Extractions

At Diamond Dental Centre, we will always be there for you when you have a tooth ache. Each tooth ache is unique, and so is our approach. We will schedule a visit with our dentists to assess the issue, then come up with a personalized plan that suites you.

Our procedures are tailored to address your immediate dental health issues.

Simple extractions are used to remove teeth that are visible above the gums and are easily accessible.

Types of Simple Extractions are:

  • Decayed Teeth: When a tooth is severely decayed and cannot be restored.
  • Loose or Damaged Teeth: Teeth that are loose due to gum disease or trauma.
  • Baby Teeth: Removal of baby teeth that haven’t fallen out naturally at the proper age.

Impacted tooth extractions specifically address teeth that have not fully pushed through the gums.

Wisdom teeth are commonly impacted and often require extraction.

Surgical extractions are more complex and involve additional steps.

Types of Surgical Extractions:

  • Impacted Teeth: Wisdom teeth (third molars) that have not fully emerged from the gums and are causing pain or other issues.
  • Broken Teeth: Teeth that have broken off at the gumline or are impacted.
  • Crowded Teeth: When teeth are too crowded and need to be removed for orthodontic reasons.
