What is a Root Canal?
A root canal is a dental procedure performed to treat an infected or inflamed tooth pulp, which is the soft tissue inside the tooth. When the pulp becomes infected due to deep decay, cracks, or trauma, it can cause severe pain and lead to further complications if left untreated.
During a root canal, the infected pulp is carefully removed, and the inside of the tooth is cleaned, disinfected, and sealed to prevent reinfection.
